Sansevieria are beautiful plants with stiff, strong leaves. To grow well they need a light exposure, without being in the sun. You can acquire a Sansevieria if your dwelling is less well exposed, however the growth of the plant will be affected.

How do I care for my sansevieria?

It is recommended to clean the leaves of your plant with a soft cloth to remove dust, which is harmful to photosynthesis.

How do I water my sansevieria?

Sansevieria is one of the succulent plants, too much water can be fatal to it. It should be watered when its soil has dried out, this happens every 10 days or so, depending on the size of the pot.

When should I repot my sansevieria?

It is a slow growing plant, it will have to be repotted when its roots are strong and come out of the pot, this can happen every 2 or 3 years.

How do I take cuttings from my sansevieria?

When repotting you can divide the plant if you wish at the rhizomes, or separate the shoots from the mother plant to divide it.

Ends burn and dry out: infrequent watering

Soggy or limp leaves: overwatering and root rot.
